Underlay |
Use self supporting breather type roofing underlay. Underlay is fixed under the battens. |
Eaves |
In order to give the eaves tiles the same pitch as the general area tiles, they have to rest on the fascia board or eave batten, the height is determined on site and depends if the tile is whole or cut. |
Mechanical Fixing |
Minimum requirements is for the tiles and fittings of all roof perimeters to be clipped, then every third row. On roof pitches of 45 degree and over tiles fixed as above but every second row. |
Mortars |
Cement, Lime, Sand and pigments are to comply with local satandards. Recommended mortar mix, by volume, should be 1 cement, 1 lime, 5 to 6 sand, plus pigment if needed. |
